Here's my attempt at making this website as easy to use as possible!
How do I leave comments, post, respond or access my account?
In order to leave comments, post, respond or access your account, you first need to either register on the website, or log in to your account if you have already registered. To register, click here. Just remember that your account will have to be validated before you can use it, just to make sure you're not spam! To log in to your account, go to the upper right hand corner of the website, and input your login information. Without being logged on, you won't be able to leave comments, post, respond or access your account, and so things may look confusing. Make sure, again, you register (click here) or log in to your account if you have already registered in order to post.
Can I connect to the site with my Facebook account?
YES! If you use Facebook...
You can connect with this site better than ever before.
1. You can sign up to this site using your Facebook ID! To login/register to SimonesOasis.Org using your Facebook ID, go to the top right of this page to the Facebook Connect Button:
Click it and sign in!
2. When reading an article, blog or topic you like, you can hit the Facebook Like button:
3. You can publish your blogs and topics to your Facebook wall when creating new blogs and topics. (You must be linked to your Facebook account to do so - see prompt #1.)
Once I register and my account has been validated, how do I leave a comment on an article or blog?
To comment, make sure that you are viewing the article or blog in FULL VIEW and not in preview. Viewing in Full View means you will NOT see a "Read More" link at the end of the article/blog, AND that when you scroll down to the bottom of the article/blog, you will see a comment box. If you are reading an article/blog as a preview, you will NOT see a comment box. You will need to click on the TITLE of the articleblog to put it in Full View, and be able to comment.
How do I start my own blog?
Once you have an account on the website, you can start your own blog. To do so, look near the top of the website on the main navigation bar (where it says "Home," "Contact Us," ETC.) Click on "All Blogs." You will then see a secondary, smaller navigation bar under the main navigation bar. Click on "My Blog." Once the page opens, go near your upper right where it says "Create New Post" and click on it.
**This is Important:
Make sure that you do the following to edit your Blog preferences:
1. Once logged in, click on Settings in the upper right hand corner.
2. On the left hand column, go all the way down to where it says "Blog" and click on it.
3. You will see a "Permissions & Privacy" page. Make sure you edit the settings for your Blog preferences on that page. If you want guests to be able to view your Blog, you will need to go down to where it says "Guests May..." and click on the box that says "View your blog." If this is not clicked, guests will not see any of your Blogs!
How do I customize my account and profile?
To customize your account and profile, go to the (way) upper right hand corner of the website, and click on "Settings."
